Some are lucky some are not.
This grey wagtail chick is one of a small family skipping along the riverside stones enjoying the sunshine in our woods today. However not all our birds have been so successful, as, of the 3 blackbird nests we have been monitoring 2 have been lost to predators soon after hatching. Probably as they started making noises to be fed.
